Afterwards, we went to take our Language placement Test and it was chill. In the building, simple conversation in Italian with the teachers one by one.
Anyways, we went to get gelato from the famous gelato place called La Romana where people wait 2 hours or so to get gelato! It usually starts to file up after lunch, so because we went around lunchtime, we were alright and were the first.
This place is so pretty.
These ladies are so pretty.
Wtf everything is so beautiful.
Wtf this sample is so good.
The way they scoop it on is different. Like they lather it on in a circular motion.
Awesome, chocolate sauce in the cone and different type of whipped cream on top.

We then went to a food market place which reminded me of a farmers' market that I went to with Jihee and Cynthia in LA. Unfortunately, a lot of the shops were closed because Italy is just "awakening" as in people are just coming back from the holidays (August, basically shuts down).
I was really happy and then got a banana there.
I WAS MISSING FRUIT DANG IT
I ordered the banana by myself in Italian to the man actually :D
Me: Posso ottenere una banana da mangiare ora? Grazie!
(May I have a banana to eat right now? Thanks!)
It was 30 pesos which is like 50 cents or something. Expensive, but better than a pastry for breakfast honestly. Also, best banana I have ever had...Abroad LOL duh.

Today's orientation would be a day of being shown another street market with produce, the plaza, and taking part 2 of the language placement "test". Because I am in group C, we went to the markets first. Along the way we saw a lot of graffiti art (which to me is just so beautiful) and were shown a lot of places that we could eat at, clubs, bars, etc.

So funny how it seems like they are basically encouraging us to go clubbing and drinking.
But then again, it is different culture here in Italy compared to America.
We drink to get drunk. (I say "we", but as all my peers know, I do not drink a lot if ever. Do not really enjoy that scene or crowd. Which is why I like Italy. I want to drink wine with a meal for pleasure and for taste. Not shots or beer to get wasted.)
They drink to socialize and have just a little for enjoyment.

So yeah, we basically ranted to each other while telling what happened last night and talked about random stuff in general. Decided it was time for a siesta before heading out for dinner tonight, so we walked back while dropping by the supermarket Carrefour.
Bought some necessities like breakfast (to go), shampoo, conditioner, and shaving gel.
Since I am Italy, I should be like one and use their goods.
Whoa only men shaving gels...so...do women shave here? Au Naturale ehhh

The grocer closed his aisle by the time I got there, but opened it for me.
Prob thought: Bah foreigners...
Now that I type this, I get it.
Siesta time...duh.
Anyways, asked for a bag in Italian and you got to pack your own goods here as well as pay for a plastic bag. Interesting.
We parted ways and said we would meet for dinner hehe
I vlogged my walk back, but it is taking forever to upload to YouTube so that I can put it here.
Anways,
Now I am going to rest.
