Tonight would be the night that we finally meet Jeannette's Italian friends (who had been begging her to introduce us) and we were excited as well.
Who is Jeannette?
She is a Filipino Intern at Roma Tre University. She speaks Italian very well because she was born in Italy and can speak English fairly well. She is such a sweetheart!
She told us that we would be meeting at the Beefeater Bar and that she would pick us up from the Garbatella Metro station on the white bridge side.
Bailey, Shelby, and I walked over there and later Mia, Cynthia, and Tarnia met up with us.
Jeannette drove up in her small car (all of the cars in Italy are small) and we all squeezed in.
It was like a clown car and somehow the funniest thing.
Illegal too btw.

Now, there is something that I failed to mention up there.
A friend had shown up to Shelby and my place with a bottle of rose wine.
Whe was just holding it and drinking from it which I thought was the funniest thing.
What was not so good is that she arrived to the bar while still holding the thing and she had drunken over half that giant thing!
Oh no.
We all introduced ourselves to the others and started chatting right away.
I will not disclose much more of yuhjahs side, but some of the guys on our program had shown up tipsy already -.- You could so tell.
Omg guys. Really...please do not do anything stupid...
We all went inside and ordered our drinks.
I got the Virgin Mojito which was delicious and without alcohol.
We all began chatting and later Cynthia and I went out with one of them to chat
and we had this whole multicultural conversation going on which was so cool!
He would speak in Italian (he is from Peru and understands and speaks Spanish btw and can speak English fairly well), Cynthia is Spanish, and me in English.
Needless to say, some of the boys pulled embarrassing stunts.
Oh man. Now we are the stereotypical drunk American college kids now.
To add on to it, a friend was gone by then and was cozying up to one of the guys who was not feeling it. Which again cracked me up. We walked her to her apartment which was thankfully nearby and we put her inside and then when were going to the bakery, she came ambling out again!
One of the Italians were like "Hey there is your friend!"
We were so confused for a few seconds to see a drunk her ambling toward us.
It was kind of cute and funny, but some of the others found it embarrassing apparently.
LOL
Needless to say, we put her back in.
But anyways, afterward, we went to grab a cornetto and I got one with hazelnut chocolate in it.
A fun night over all, but I feel so embarrassed on our behalf and Jeannette's because it is such a bad first impression I feel like.
We all agreed to hang out again, but hopefully it will not be a bar scene this time.
