Sighs... I've been so stressed out lately. My semester in Hong Kong is almost over and I feel a need to go out and do as much as I can. I've realized though that I'm physically incapable of doing everything though and honestly, I don't even know if I want to anymore. I've done so much already and right now all I want to do is just relax and get some work done. That brings to me to my second point of stress which is internships. Even though I know I'm not supposed to compare myself to other people, I feel like I really need to step up my game internship wise. While other people have jobs or interviews at this point, I've only received one interview... I wish I knew what I could do to be more competitive. sighs... I'm just going to keep trying. I'm still keeping up with my investment bank readings but I need to apply to more banks. |
Because of all the stress and just going out a lot more frequently, my body has gotten really tired. I went shopping today and after a few hours, I could feel the physical fatigue dragging me down. I could also feel the outset of a migraine coming. It was like a repeat of the time I went to Tsuen Wan. I think I need to take it easy for now... I think I'm going to do less exploring and try to just go out for food now. Oh, that pikachu was from an event happening at One Square in TST. There were soooo many pikachus hehe. I think Vivian would definitely have wanted to come.
Since I really didn't want to do any more exploring, I settled for just the food. Today I went to Thailand Roadside in Kowloon City. This is their assorted soup noodle and it was really good. I've always hated pork blood but here it's actually decent. So good... drools... There was a flat noodle base topped with a lot of veggies (covered here). On top of that, there were slices of fish cake, fishballs, cuttlefish? or squid? (which I think was actually raw but it cooked to perfection in the broth), fermented tofu, and cubes of pork blood (very smooth like tofu, they didn't overcook it at
all). The soup wasn't too thick but was flavorful and to top it off, there was some red vinegar as well. I can still taste the soup noodles now. So good... I cannot even stress that enough because it was so good. For only $30 HKD, this was whopping bowl of delicious Thai noodles that had a variety of flavors and textures. I will definitely come here again. I actually also got the Thai Iced Milk Tea. I was never a fan of this but I decided to give it another try today. The way they made it here was super delicious. I quite enjoyed it and it didn't have the weird taste I remembered from last time. This place is a definite must-go again for me.... seriously, it offers some really delicious Thai food.... |
